우리의 귀에 새롭게 들려오거나 온몸으로 체감하는 동시대의 현상과 기술을 통해 우리는 질문하지 않을 수 없게 되었다. 인간과 비인간을 가르는 경계는 어떻게 규정되는가. 인간이 자원, 도구, 소비재로 격하시킨 비인간 타자의 지위와 존엄은어떻게 회복시킬 수 있는가. 이처럼 존재론적인 질문들에 답을 구하면서 또한 인간종이 초래한 동시대의 문제들에 대처하기위해서는 탈인간중심주의적 예술을 상상할 필요가 있다. 김연재, 목소, 윤경희 세 작가는 음악의 불완전한 분절의 단위, 신체의 접합 부분, 영상의 프레임과 시퀀스 등에 두루 적용하여 확장할 수 있는 못갖춘마디라는 이름으로 모여 비인간 사물 존재와 조우하는 방법을 찾는다. 특히 근과거의 기계류에 초점을맞추어, 기계의 역사, 재료, 구조, 작동 원리, 기능, 재료 등를 경유하여, 오늘날 점차 배제된, 누락된, 억압된, 폐기된 비인간 사물 존재를 한 자리에 불러모은다.

김연재 | Kim Yeon Jae
희곡을 쓰고 연극을 만들며 때로 소설과 시를 쓴다. 사물과 친화하는 움직임의 패턴을 연극의 형식에 반영하여 드라마 문법을 해체하는 작업을 해왔다. 최근에는 이미지와 텍스트의 상호 번역, 오컬티즘에 관심을 두고 있다.

문학과 예술에 관한 글을 쓴다. 산문집 『분더카머』(문학과지성사, 2021)를 출간했다.
목소 | Morceau J. Woo
2004년부터 랩과 사운드를 기반으로 다수의 공연과 전시에 참여했고, 2012년 이후로는 연극을 비롯해 미디어 아트,
영화 등의 분야에서 사운드 디자이너로 활동하고 있다. 단순한 재현을 넘어 리듬으로서 세계를 인식하고 표현하는 일에
집중하고 있으며, 여성주의적 관점을 기반으로 소수자의 경험과 목소리를 ‘들릴 수 있는 것’으로 만드는 데 깊은 관심을 갖고 있다.
Through contemporary phenomena and technologies that reach our ears or resonate through our entire bodies, we find ourselves compelled to ask questions.
How is the boundary between human and non-human defined? How can the status and dignity of non-human others—downgraded by humans to resources, tools, or commodities—be restored? Seeking answers to such ontological questions, and addressing the contemporary problems caused by the human species, requires imagining non-anthropocentric art.
Artists Kim Yeon Jae, Morceau J. Woo, and Youn Kyung Hee gather under the name Incomplete Bar, exploring ways to encounter the existence of non-human objects by applying the concept across music’s imperfect segmented units, bodily junctions, and the frames and sequences of video. Focusing particularly on machinery of the recent past, they traverse the history, materials, structures, operating principles, and functions of machines to summon today’s increasingly excluded, omitted, suppressed, and discarded non-human objects into a single space.
This exhibition provides partial captioning and sign language interpretation.

Kim Yeon Jae
Writes plays, produces theatre, and occasionally writes novels and poetry. Her work deconstructs dramatic grammar by reflecting movement patterns that harmonize with objects within theatrical forms. Recently, she has been interested in the inter-translation of images and texts, as well as occultism.
Kyung Hee Youn
Writes on literature and the arts. Published a prose collection, Bunderkamer (Munhakgwa Jiseongsa, 2021).
Morceau J. Woo
Since 2004, has participated in numerous performances and exhibitions based on rap and sound. Since 2012, has worked as a sound designer in theater, media art, and film. Focuses on perceiving and expressing the world through rhythm rather than mere representation, with a strong interest in making the experiences and voices of marginalized groups “audible” from a feminist perspective.
