[발화점]은 아티스북 리서치 연계 프로젝트인 [참조점]에 연이어, [발화점]이란 키워드로 언어, 이미지, 텍스트, 사운드 간의 상호 작용을 탐구하는 예술가들을 소개한다. 릴레이 형식을 띠는 [발화점]은 2024년 5월 8일(수) 부터 6월 16일(일)까지 열릴 예정이다. 매주마다 이어가는 참여 작가(5인)의 즉흥적인 공간 구성에서 관람자는 예측하기 어려우면서도 계속 진화하고 확장되는 전시 공간의 발화점을 체감할 수 있을 것이다.


1. 발화편지
고성 Goseong + 홍예지 Yeji Hong(@empty_wells@yejimaryhong)
고성 작가와 홍예지 기획자는 처음 만난 타인으로서 1년동안 서로의 생각과 감정을 나눈 편지를 주고받고 이를  ‘낭독'을 통해 관객과 공유하였다. 이들은 발화점 전시의 시작점으로 관객들에게 받은 편지에 ‘답장'하는 방식을 통해 발화의 가능성을 가시화한다.

2.일상발화
황예지 Yezoi Hwang (@yezoi)
황예지 작가는 개인의 이야기와 역사를 이미지와 언어를 통해 일상을 예술적으로 발화한다. 개인의 삶을통해 사회와 연결짓고 타인과 끊임없이 교감하고자 한다. 

3.발화소리
이주영Jooyoung Lee (@jooyoung.art )
이주영 작가는 언어가 어떻게 왜곡되고 소외된 목소리를 반영하는지 탐구한다. 그녀의 작업은 언어의 사회적 맥락과 권력적 측면을 시각적으로 표현하며 발화된 또는 아직 발화하지 못한 언어의 인식과 변화를 다룬다.

4.발화경계

주슬아 Sla Joo (@joo_sl_a)
주슬아 작가는 발화 체화 과정을 통해 관객이 작품과 깊이 연결되고, 예술 속 사물의 변이를 체감하도록 유도한다. 만화, 애니메이션, 게임과 같은 허구적 세계와 현실의 경계를 작품을 통해 허물고 그로인해 또다른 차원의 문을 연다.

모집대상: 사진 책을 만들고 싶어하는 사진 전공자와 아마추어 사진가
모집인원: 1차 (제한없음)
1주차 수업 : 광합단 맴버들 6인 내외가 참여하여 그동안 만들어온 사진책들을 함께 나눠 보고 사진이 책이되는 과정에 대한 이야기를 나눈다.

발화하는 책(2) 5월 25일 (토) 18:00 - 19:30
모집대상 : 1차 참여자 대상으로 4명
2주차 : 수업에 앞서 신청자들은 1주차 내용을 참고하여 본인들의 작업 이미지들을 활용하여 더미북을 만들어본다.

[Point of Utterance] follows Reference Point, the publication-linked research project by Artistbook, and introduces artists who explore the interactions among language, image, text, and sound under the keyword “Point of Utterance.” Structured as a relay-format exhibition, [Point of Utterance] will take place from Wednesday, May 8 to Sunday, June 16, 2024. Through the spontaneous spatial compositions created each week by the five participating artists, visitors will experience the unpredictable, continuously evolving, and expanding points of utterance within the exhibition space.



1. Utterance Letters

Goseong + Yeji Hong (@empty_wells @yejimaryhong)

Artist Goseong and curator Yeji Hong began as strangers who exchanged letters for a year, sharing their thoughts and emotions, which they later revealed to the public through readings. As the starting point of the exhibition, they make visible the potential of utterance by “replying” to letters received from visitors.



2. Everyday Utterance

Yezoi Hwang (@yezoi)

Artist Yezoi Hwang articulates the everyday by expressing personal stories and histories through images and language. Through the lens of individual life, she continues to connect with society and engage in ongoing dialogue with others.



3. Sound of Utterance

Jooyoung Lee (@jooyoung.art)

Artist Jooyoung Lee investigates how language is distorted and reflects marginalized voices. Her work visualizes the social context and power dynamics of language, addressing the perception and transformation of spoken—and yet unspoken—utterances.



4. Boundary of Utterance

Sla Joo (@joo_sl_a)

Artist Sla Joo guides the audience to form a deep connection with the work through embodied processes of utterance, allowing them to sense the transformation of objects within art. By blurring the boundary between fictional worlds—such as comics, animation, and games—and reality, her work opens a portal to another dimension.

The Uttering Book: Workshop w/ Gwanghapdan

The Uttering Book (1)

Participant Eligibility: Photography majors and amateur photographers interested in making a photobook

Capacity: Round 1 (no limit)



Week 1 Session:

Six members of Gwanghapdan will participate, sharing their past photobooks and discussing the process of transforming photographs into books.



The Uttering Book (2)

May 25 (Sat), 18:00–19:30

Eligibility: Participants from Round 1 (4 selected)



Week 2 Session:

Prior to class, selected participants will create a dummy book based on their own work, referring to the content discussed in Week 1.
