아시아 5 개국(한국, 일본, 중국, 대만, 싱가포르)의 아트북 250여 권을 모아 소개 한다. 도서관 열람실처럼 자유롭게 이용할 수 있는 이번 전시에 관람객은 국가별로 분류한 책과 인덱스 카드를 통해 다양한 물성과 콘텐츠의 책을 경험 하고 구매 할 수도 있다. 아시아 5개국에서 선정된 각 기획자는 3가지의 테마별로 아트북을 소개한다. 본 전시는 TABF 2017(도쿄아트북페어)의 Guest Country 특별 전을 기초로 일본과 한국 큐레이션을 ‘사진 중심의 아트북’으로 추가 재구성하여 기획했다. 또한 신진작가 5인 E5(홍희라, 이지은, 신미경, 조형후, 박기덕)의 아트북 재해석 작업을 함께 전시하여 전시에 다채로움을 제공하는 한 편 동시대 아시아아트북을 한권의 인덱스북으로 만드는 시도를 돕는다.

The exhibition gathers and presents over 250 art books from five Asian countries—Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, and Singapore. Visitors are invited to freely explore the books as in a library reading room, experiencing and purchasing works through books categorized by country and accompanying index cards. Each curator selected from the five countries introduces art books based on three thematic categories.

The exhibition is planned based on the Guest Country special exhibition at TABF 2017 (Tokyo Art Book Fair), with additional curation from Japan and Korea restructured to focus on “photography-centered art books.” In addition, reinterpretations of art books by five emerging artists—E5 (Hong Hee-ra, Lee Ji-eun, Shin Mi-kyung, Cho Hyung-hoo, and Park Ki-deok)—are displayed, adding diversity to the exhibition while contributing to the attempt to compile contemporary Asian art books into a single index book.
